Albuquerque, New Mexico- September 10, 2918

Monday (9/10) we were on the road by 8:35 am, Central Time, continuing west on I 40.  Before leaving Amarillo we made a fuel stop at Sam's Club where diesel was about $.50 per gallon cheaper than other stations in the area ($2.759/gallon).  Traveling westward from Amarillo the large windmills were off in the distance and then buttes and mesas appeared.

The countryside was changing as we entered New Mexico as well as time changed to Mountain Time.

By 12:30 pm, MT, we arrived at Enchanted Trails RV Park on the western edge of Albuquerque.  After setting up we drove the Jeep into the old section of Albuquerque.

We were in pursuit of some New Mexico style food.  We ate at Little Anita's and, yes, they served the entrees we got with the red and green chili sauces.  We walked about the area checking out the shops but like most time purchased nothing.

Look at the carving in the tree trunk

This morning when we left Amarillo it was 60 degrees and cloudy.  Here in Albuquerque the temperature reached 90 degrees this afternoon and it is bright sunshine.  Moving on again tomorrow.
