We have enjoyed just sitting back and relaxing the past several days. Saturday was a cloudy, damp, chilly day in this desert environment and by evening it was raining. Sunday we awoke to bright sunshine but cooler temperatures – 60’s during the day, dropping into the low 40’s at night. Sunday morning we attended church services at a fairly new, as of 2004, United Church of Christ church that holds services in a hotel conference. There were less than 20 people in attendance. Like most of the churches in an area like this the attendance fluctuates with the seasons and we are seeing folks in the campgrounds leaving to go north. There are a large number of Canadians, mostly British Columbians, in the campground we are staying that seem to be migrating north. Today, Monday, we have spent time doing some housecleaning and then relaxing. Tom and I , both, enjoy reading and times like this we spend time doing just that.
