Friday August 6, 2010 – Woodbine, Maryland

After less than 2 weeks after our trip to Alaska we are heading back out today.  This will be a short trip for the weekend to Ramblin' Pines Campground in Woodbine, Maryland with the Traveling Americans.  Should be a nice weekend as the weather is great with lower humidity and sunshine.  Being with the Traveling Americans is most always a good time.
We have been busy since returning home.  Our checkbook was a real diaster with Canadian entries that had to be readjusted with International fees and currency exchanges.  Catching up with the mail and getting that sorted out took some doing.  The motorhome spent a few days at the local Ford dealer getting some maintenance work done.  And last weekend Tom planned a family get together for my 65th birthday with steamed crabs, fried chicken, corn on the cob and a cake he baked and assembled himself.
Our little grandson, Parker, had grown and was just beginning to walk.  Maddy and Anthony were with their other parents but I did talk to Maddy earler in the week.
We found time to begin work on the diamond willow that we brought back from Alaska.  The outer bark has been removed for the most part.  We have to work on the diamond areas now which will be a little more work.
